Inevitability

dreamt many a time of this knock on my door,
hoped it was you returned on a tenure another,
foolish dreams with far fetched themes,
vanished without whimper on fate's chimes,
want to speak a lot but don't know where to start,
the older i grow, the greater i miss your art,
may be a correction here and a lesson there,
all the small things - suddenly i seem to care,
the day you left for the other, He did a take over,
He didn't speak much but ensured all the cover,
as the memories turn hazy under time's wrath,
i miss you at every turn whatever be the path,
the only proof left is this silent tear,
for the cries of the heart, none can hear!

Rain drops
